This month I want you to create frames from a Digbat font. The easy option is if you just apply a style , but I don't want to make it easy ! So create some artful frames, maybe with decorations on , or frame clusters a different way. How about using patterns and then bevels , layer up to create different effecs .... the possibilties are endless . Now let's see if it works to attach the file directly here

yes that was cool how it worked....Last months challenge was fun...I took the tuts on the houseboat and worked on all of them that I could...one wanted a chalk brush and I couldn't find one so I was unable to do that one...now that I am home I think I will look for a chalk brush.

I did both paint shop pro and photoshop tuts. Enjoyed it ... now to this months

Glad you enjoyed it- here is my first one.
You can see the texture I applied to the main frame , The frame border is a different colour and I added a slight bevel and then decorated it with a swirl , bow and flower

I made 3. I did do it a bit easy, I think, I filled them with texture, used some shadow in it, and applied a few decorations. Is it good enough? I don;t think so, but it's more difficult, I think to you already basics given.
Or have I a twisted mind?

Here is mine. I used the letter "Z" from a Frames & Borders dingbat font. I
separated each part of the design onto separate layers (not as easy as it looks).
Then I applied colors, styles, filters, bevels, shadows and textures to each layer.
This was not so easy either. I then made the frame using the rectangular marquee
tool, and applied colors, texture, bevel, shadow and resized.

New frame is shown with gold, silver, navy blue and white styles. The original letter "z" is in bottom right corner.
